First distilled by the Dutch in the 1600s, our famous golden age, jenever has for centuries inspired bravery in our people. In Amsterdam's 19th century clandestine society, LEVWATER became a cultivated 'bargoens' term for jenever, stemming from the ancient word 'Lev'; or courage. Building on a long history during which it inspired the British to distill their national pride gin, while trying to emulate the liquid Dutch courage, we bring together historic pride with fresh modern flavours from 21st century Amsterdam and encourage you to be brave.

INGREDIENTS

JUNIPER BERRY

Orange

Cardemom

LAVENDER

Coriander

CINNAMON

APPLE

PERFECT SERVES

LEVWATER SOUR

Ingredients:

- 2 shots of LEVWATER.
- 1 shot of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ½ shot of Monin sugar cane syrip
- ½ shot of pasteurized egg white

Shake all ingredients with ice and strain back into a shaker. Dry shake (without ice) and strain into an ice-filled glass.

OLD SCHIEDAM FASHIONED

Ingredients:
- 50ml of LEVWATER.
- White sugar
- Angostura aromatic bitters
-  A slice of orange

Fill up a whiskey glass with ice cubes. Add 50ml of Levwater, a barspoon of white sugar and 3 dashes of angostura aromatic bitters. Garnish with a nicely curled zest of orange.
